Castro Valley High School’s A Cappella has been selected to be a Performing Ensemble at the American Choral Directors’ Western Conference, held in San Jose, California in March of 2026. The Western Conference comprises 5 states- California, Nevada, Arizona, Utah, and Hawaii, and CVHS Choir was selected from hundreds of applications of exemplary choirs from these states. Among the many aspects to this application, consistency of choral excellence is an essential factor for selection. CVHS Choir Alumni of the past three years can take pride in their voices earning our program this performance honor in 2026. Linked in bio are the youtube videos of the performances submitted in our application portfolio, (though in application format, these were audio submissions for the panel to evaluate blindly.) Performing at an ACDA Conference is among the highest of honors for an American Choir to achieve, and this will be the first performance at ACDA for the Castro Valley Unified School District.
